![]() ![]() PaperPort will not prompt for a password for any PDF file that contains the default PDF Security password. The password assigned in the “Default PDF Security” dialog is added to the list of remembered passwords.Specific passwords cannot be removed from the always remember list. To remove all passwords from the always remember list, go to “Tools > Default PDF Security…” and click the “Delete Password List” button. To make PaperPort retain a password indefinitely, check the “remember password” option on the “Password Required” dialog.If the password for one PDF file is incorrectly entered for another PDF file, PaperPort will remember this password and check it against any PDF file that is opened during the current session. PaperPort remembers all passwords that are entered during a session.The options will be available while PaperPort remembers the password.li> To have the “Print” and “Copy” items available upon right-click, open the PDF file and supply a password. ![]() If a PDF file is password protected against opening, the “Print” and “Copy” menu items will be inactive (grayed out) when right-clicking on a file.However, before printing, another resolution can be selected, but the resolution in the PDF Security dialog will be the printed resolution. If a PDF file is password protected to restrict high quality printing, the resolution selected in the PDF Security dialog box will be the printed resolution.Password protecting a PDF file against changes will not prevent someone from deleting the file.The PDF file’s password must be supplied to reach the “PDF Security” dialog. Then add/remove any PDF Security options from the “PDF Security” dialog.
